I grew up working in the service industry. Restaurants, bars, clubs, management, front of the house, back, and have experienced a lot of dramatic interactions because of the unhealthy lifestyle I believed I had to lead, in order to be successful at it all. After opening four restaurants, a divorce, and a bad accident that left me with a badly broken back, I hit rock bottom. Everything felt so overwhelmingly painful, exhausting, and emotionally draining.
I was defeated.
During the most "toxic-spell" of that period, a famous quote (or meme) popped up on my Facebook Timeline that inspired me to try and change everything. It read:
"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them" - Albert Einstein
